Premier visits Old Perlican
We are pleased to have recently welcomed Premier Furey and his cabinet colleagues Minister Loveless and Minister Crocker to our multi-species seafood processing plant in Old Perlican.
Plant Manager Chris Butler showed our guests the processing of fresh caught cod and pristine whelk from the waters off Newfoundland.
Throughout the visit we discussed the challenges and opportunities facing the industry including how we can best market our high-quality Newfoundland seafood products to the world, as well as how the industry must continue adapting to changes in resources.
We would like to thank Premier Furey and Ministers Loveless and Crocker for their visit, and we look forward to continuing working together to sustainably maximize the value of marine resources in Newfoundland and Labrador!
